Our work is contributing significantly to help the Ministry of Defence (MoD) reach Government-led conservation targets. However, given the quality, quantity and sensitivity of the land entrusted to our care, we have pledged to outperform national and statutory objectives by working with our partners to make ongoing improvements to the sustainability and environmental performance of the Defence Training Estate.Effective estate management to fulfil environmental obligations and the requirements of the 21st Century military is challenging. However, the dedicated work of Landmarc’s Rural Estate Managers and Environmental Advisors ensures a sustainable approach to military training - one which not only meets the requirements of our armed forces, but protects some of the nation’s most beautiful, heritage-rich and environmentally diverse land for years to come.
