SGDN
SGDN Ltd is Landmarc’s commercial property management partner. The company is a joint venture between Smiths Gore and Dreweatt Neate (now Carter Jonas) formed to deliver property services in support of Landmarc for the Defence Training Estate contract. The partnership provide the resources of a top 20 surveying practice, nationwide coverage and some of the leading specialist skills in rural property that are available in the UK.
As well as fulfilling Landlord obligations, SGDN help safeguard the estate by monitoring planning applications and development plans. SGDN has also undertaken diverse projects such as evaluating sporting rights across the Estate and providing advice on wind farms and bracken control. Their most recent project has involved investigating how changes in farming practice may impact on the training and environmental objectives of the Estate.
ESS
Landmarc’s catering partner, and part of the Compass Group, ESS provides specialist catering services to the Defence Training Estate. Operating from kitchens on training camps across the estate, ESS provide 7 million meals annually which include in-camp dining services, hot ‘container’ meals for consumption in the field, packed meals and fresh rations to enable self-catering for units.
In addition, Landmarc and ESS have set up on-camp commercial retail and leisure operations providing full bars, 24hr vending, internet portals, cash-machines and washing machines.
Enviros
Enviros is Landmarc’s Environmental Consulting partner. The company is one of the largest professional environmental services companies in the UK and has extensive knowledge of environmental best practice.
In 2009 Enviros was bought by Sinclair Knight Merz one of the worlds leading engineering, science and project delivery businesses. The combined business now gives Landmarc and its clients access to an industry leading team of sustainable environmental engineering professionals.
Recent projects successfully completed by Enviros include Estate wide joint EMS establishment and audit, ammunition contamination studies and initial environmental reviews for some of DTE’s international facilities.
