On the MoD’s Defence Training Estate (DTE), Landmarc is responsible for everything from provision of temporary barrack accommodation and ensuring soldiers are fed, to keeping tenant farms and environmentally-protected areas in good condition. The DTE enables training for HM Forces, providing them with a range of environments that simulate diverse operational conditions. Landmarc plays a vital role in ensuring that the facilities provided to prepare Britain’s men and women for the rigours of modern armed conflicts continue to meet their needs.
From the Estate for the Estate
Always looking for sustainable ways of delivering its services, Landmarc has brought timber production in-house and is using the estate’s woodland assets to maintain its thousands of metres of fencing. The award winning project has reduced costs, improved the military training value of the woodland and aided conservation efforts.

Two village complexes, three forward operating bases, a bridge replacement, 8,000 authentic Afghani props, local ‘extras’ and the construction of six CIED (Counter Improvised Explosive Devices) lanes - this ground breaking training facility has revolutionised the way the Army prepares its soldiers for Afghanistan.
